Is religion just an escape from reality much like drug addiction and alcoholism?
If someone is religious, does that mean that something missing in their lives and they are unhappy.

When drug addiction is legalized, how it will affect evolution of mankind?
drugs like Heroin, Cocaine, Marijuana, DMT, Morphine, LSD etc. Remember , alcohol is a foreign substance for human body and its not required by it thats what medical science says, so alcohol is like cocaine, heroine etc. It is known that some large groups of people have become addicts to alcohol who have had a long ancestry to alcoholism. Their offspring are easily sucked into the alcohol dependency. And those who havn't , can easily resist the habit.So if large population of humans start consuming illegal drugs which modify behavior , attitude, morality and common sense , then what kind of human beings are expected to be born. Probably tolerant strains or those who cannot live without drugs right from infancy like a child needing milk?

Why does society accept pill addiction more than illegal drug addiction?
If a person does illegal drugs they call them bums and no good junkies, but if they pop a bunch of pills they get more sympathy and are not judged as much as people who do heroine, coke, etc. Why the double standard? Isn't taking pills all the time more destructive then a person who smokes weed everyday or that occasionally does crack?

What are the similarities beween Christianity and drug addiction?

Is there nothing worse than an alcoholic who gives up his alcohol addiction and takes on a Jesus addiction lecturing you about the evils of drinking that 12 ounce can of Miller Lite beer? In other words, a guy who couldn't handle himself getting all preachy with you, someone who can?Will fundies ever grasp the fact that many, many, many people get it right the first time without their precious imaginary god or son of god?

Is a religion addiction in a way just as harmful and self destructive as a drug addiction?
Compare it to heroin if a heroin addict is given a clean supply of heroin, sterile needles, has an adequate diet with adequate exercise, there s no reason why the heroin addict won t live well into his or her eighties, just bombed out every day of his or her existence. You know, clean heroin doesn t slowly destroy any of the body s organs like cigarettes and alcohol do. It s a substance that is injected straight into the blood stream instead of being absorbed into the bloodstream via the lungs or digestive tract. This is similar to religion because religion doesn t cause any physical harm to the body but it harms by reducing the potential to achieve. Like the heroin addict above, a religious person lives every day of their existence within a pleasant haze, chasing rainbows and butterflies that only they can see. But can you see how religion is just as harmful to individuals and society as drug addiction?
