Question: Why do the so called holy taliban cultivate the poppy fields and promote world wide drug addiction?

They say they are doing the work of god and what he expects so why do they choose to use the tool of the devil ie heroin and cause world wide drug addiction that's not the work of god its the work of the devil.

No guy, desire and biology causes drug addiction, not the asshole in the trench coat willing to sell whatever you want to you.

People do what they need to, Doesn't america claim to have god on its side yet it is no secret that during the Vietnam war the CIA sold huge amounts of heroin to fund their operations

If you believe that your beliefs are the only truth and that those who do not subscribe to them can legitimately be killed, then the method by which you kill them probably doesn't matter to you - battle, bombs, starvation, white phosphorus, chemicals or drugs .... whatever you have access to and can get away with. On top of that, if you are desperately poor and need to feed and house your family, you will jump at the opportunity to grow a crop for which the market spays a good price .... in the case of the Taliban and their supporters, the opium poppy. Although you know it is a killer, it is being sold to the people whom your religion says it is OK to kill anyway. Another way of looking at it is that any belief system that says it is OK to kill or subjugate those who who do not share your views is an evil and corrupt belief system that should not be allowed to flourish in a civilised world. I cannot believe any worthwhile religion or nation would hold such views and it is the moral duty of every good person to oppose such evil wherever we encounter it. Those who cultivate, refine, manufacture and supply dangerous drugs are low life scum who profit from the exploitation of others. There is another argument that those who put themselves up for exploitation by drug suppliers do so voluntarily and deserve all they get. I have some sympathy with that idea but, in that case, what they don't deserve is the financial support of the honest taxpayer when they are unable or unwilling to work because of their drug use.

Money. but i guess the more of them that are drugged up during a fight the easier it is for the coalition troops
