My friend was high on marijuana, and cocaine, and got into a fight with his sister, and beat her up. He ended up killing the baby that he didn't know she was pregnant with. I have a few friends that are on their way to becoming drug addicts.

im not talking about children born with addictions because of their parentsi mean the ones that their familys have spent thousands of dollars to send them to rehab and when they get out they start doing the same stuff Wasnt it their choice to do drugs to begin with?Not everyone has a great childhood or life but it doesnt mean they go and get strung outwhat do u think?" Why do so many reformed drug addicts become counsellors? Is it because they care or are unskilled in all else?

In a Christian country shouldn't drug addicts be forgiven instead of punished?
The US is incarcerating more people than China or the former USSR and all because we allow Prohibition and the War on Drugs rule instead of human forgiveness and caring. But since restrained fascist legislation does not solve the Drug problem it has been getting worse and worse for decades why don't you start executing drug dealers like in China and drug users too cause this will never stop.

I just mentioned to my friend that I have more compassion for disadvantaged or abused children than I do for drug addicts and the homeless. Then she talked my ear off about how that compassion is exactly what is needed to get people off the streets...etc. Like she was trying to change my mind. But I feel that some children are never even given a chance to thrive while adults on the street have just made bad choices. Or they ARE they are the abused children who weren't helped and grew up to live on the street.I didn't quite appreciate the third degree she gave me. Was I off base?So, most people are saying that both need help I agree , but it's not wrong to have more compassion on one group of people than for another. Whew Some people are saying not to turn my back on someone truely in need or withhold help. I'm not saying that I am unwilling to help homeless addicts, but that I simply don't feel for them like I do for children. I think that we, as a society, should especially try to protect our children.

Why Do People Say Skinny Guys Are Drug Addicts?
I have a friend that said skinny guys are drug addicts. I think that you can't judge how someone looks because they could have a serious illness. Also I looked on other yahoo questions and other people say skinny guys are drug addicts also. Do you think this is just a stereotype?
