What organization could I contact in Mobile,AL to volunteer to help drug addicts?
I live in Mobile,AL.Meth is a growing epidemic especially in the county.I am a former addict myself.I was researching on youtube last night all of the effects of meth and clips from local news stations.Almost everyone that I saw being busted in meth labs and blowing up meth labs I either went to school with or used to do drugs with. Most of them were people I've known my entire life.I could barely recognize them. They had boils all over their faces and they looked so haggard.I was never that bad off, thank god.I came to my senses faster than that.I just want to try and help them.At least spread the word of the drugs terrible effects on your body, family and friends.I feel like more could be done and I just want to help.If anyone knows any organization in their area or anything please let me know.Even if it is not Mobile I can still probably contact them and see if they know of any in Mobile.Thank you.

If you're a social worker and you work with drug addicts why did you choose to work with them?
And what was your experience like? I m asking this question because of a study I m conducting for school

What percentage of Americans are drug addicts? What percentage use drugs regularly or casually?
Is your answer just a guess or based on actual statistics. Why do you think so many people have the need to " get high" ? I feel drug use only adds to the underlying problems that drive one to drug use in the first place. I'm relating to so called hard drugs, alcohol, and prescription drug abuse have I left anything out?

How come fat people are ridiculed more than even alcoholics, drug addicts, and homeless people?
I feel like people have so much more disdain and anger toward overweight people more than anyone else. Why the anger? People always say " it's not healthy" but the people who say it couldn't care less about that person's well being... I can understand the disdain but why the anger? why the strong disgust and angry emotion over it?

Do you like it when ex drug addicts turn into pastors?

Spiritually speaking: why do people call drug addicts, "junkies"?

What do you think about God forgiving drug addicts; will they go to heaven or hell; do we have a chance?
If one truly suffers from drug addiction and battles with the question of being damned for eternity because of it, will they be forgiven for " the flesh is weak" ?

Do drug addicts die in sin even if they love and honor god?

Why is it so easy it so easy for people like drug addicts, convicts, ex convicts to find god.?
I see them walking around everyday hand out church fliers with shirts that " jesus has done great things with me" . I'm just curious to know if people find god, what does he actually say when you find him. Does he say " you're it" .

How come religion can often change the lives of criminals, alcoholics and drug addicts?
Just me, i converted after i was in jail. Maybe most of us are Christians beacuse many Christians are the ones that want to help people in jail. I studied religion instead of joining a gang. gang members always go back. I experienced an internal conversion and changed my life.

If drugs and alcohol are used as an emotional crutch, why would some atheist be an alcoholic or drug addict?
I thought that the popular opinion was that they don't need emotional or spiritual crutches? So what would be the point of some of them proclaiming that they don't need the fearful crutch of God and religion, only for them to turn around to get addicted to drugs and alcohol? So why do these few brag about not needing one crutch, only to pick up another crutch? Yes, I know that not all atheists are alcoholics or drug addicts. I am referring to the ones who are or have been?" What does atheism have to do with emotional stability? Do you really not understand the problem with your line of reasoning here?" Do you? Because the last I checked it is the atheist who say that Christians live in fear, need some invisible sky daddy to tell them what to do, and can't live without a crutch. They NEED God. Religion is the opiate of the masses. It is the atheists who don't need all of that. They can depend on themselves, rely on themselves. You can say that they are human too, I'll buy that. Just like all humans they too like to put others down to make themselves appear more stable.Vincent Oh please, you all are like a 1000 monkeys in a cage throwing sh...t . As if I can keep track of all of it. All I know is that it all stinks." Atheism means not believing in god. It doesn't imply anything else" I absolutely agree. To bad that opinion isn't shared by.......atheists.
