Question: Spiritually speaking: why do people call drug addicts, "junkies"?

Good question usually we think junk is stuff we don't want so that's why they are junkies. Because they are rubbish we don't want in our society.

This is NOT a "spiritually speaking " question. But, it is a question which deserves an answer. Drugs have been called "junk, " and a lot of us still consider them "junk.
