Question: Pedophiles or drug addicts?

So it seems to me that when a prison is full and they can no longer keep as many prisoners prisons release pedophiles before they release prisoners involved in drugs. Personally I feel the pedophiles do more damage than people involved in drugs. At least they are committing crimes some what in the open where as pedophiles can take years to be caught seeing as they deal with children that can be easily manipulated and they are committing the crime behind closed doors. What do you think it's just my opinion.

They should bring back the death penalty to free up some space, im sick of paying my taxes to keep these scum in cushy prisons.

Drug addicts do far less harm than paedophiles do and therefore should be released far sooner than the paedophiles. Put it this way, the only real harm most drug addicts do is to themselves, which is their choice, paedophiles harm others, the children they abuse and their friends and family.

Drug addicts should be in rehabilitation not prison. Pedophiles should be locked up for life / exterminated.

The drug addict has a choice whether it be to sell or do drugs, meaning that the "victim " is choosing to partake. Pedophiles' victims do not choose to partake in the crime. Pedophiles need to be held their entire time.

I think you're dead right. Which is why, as a society, we really need to legalise drugs as a first step toward controlling their use and abuse. Paedophiles can never be cured. Therefore they can never be trusted to move freely in society. Drugs we have a chance of coping with. Paedophiles are a lost cause.

I think there are certain crimes that the person should just be taken out back and shot for. Drugs is not one, but being a pedophile is. Rapists too. If we had harsher punishments for certain crimes I believe life would be a lot better. The only reason there isn't is because there's a lot of people in power who could go down for it, and they certainly don't want to get anything but a slap on the wrist!

Release the drugs related people first definitely would be my opinion. paedophiles are less likely to cause widespread damage to many people, whereas drug dealers can sell drugs to many people but the kind of damage that they [paedophiles] do is frankly disgusting. People who become addicted to and buy and sell the drugs, it's their choice and they will only go and get it from somewhere else, that's the sad truth. Also, it is hard, but you can beat a drug addiction. Those who are targeted by paedophiles are much less likely to ever fully recover from something like that. so yeah i agree, paedophiles should be locked up and throw away the key.

I agree. Pedophiles are disgusting people. It's about keeping the children safe. Drug addicts can think for themselves but children don't know what they're doing and these pedophiles take advantage of that and it's just evil.
