If one truly suffers from drug addiction and battles with the question of being damned for eternity because of it, will they be forgiven for "the flesh is weak "?

DRUG ADDICTION DOES NOT SEND A PERSON TO HELL! We are not condemned simply because of Adam and Eve's sin. We are SINNERS because of it and we need a Savior People are condemned to hell because they are sinners and have refused the gift of salvation Jesus Christ offers. Only refusing Jesus sends a person to hell. Only accepting Jesus saves a person from hell.

Often hell is portrayed as a place of punishment and heaven as a place of reward. But this concept easily leads us to think about God as either a policeman, who tries to catch us when we make a mistake and send us to prison when our mistakes become too big, or a Santa Claus, who counts up all our good deeds and puts a reward in our stocking at the end of the year. God, however, is neither a policeman nor a Santa Claus. God does not send us to heaven or hell depending on how often we obey or disobey. God is love and only love. In God there is no hatred, desire for revenge, or pleasure in seeing us punished. God wants to forgive, heal, restore, show us endless mercy, and see us come home.

God's Power and Love are so much greater than any drug or the addition that goes with it.

The only thing that will send someone to hell is a person's rejection of Jesus Christ. If you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, rose from the grave, then you can be saved by accepting him as Lord and Savior. With his help you can overcome any addictions.

Not for your fellow humans to judge. Salvation is offered to all that repent.

God will forgive you, ask Jesus to come into your heart and accept him as your personal savior. make sure you pray and read the bible. God will forgive any sin, you will not be damned for eternity, Jesus loves you. you just have to make the right choices. God is better than drugs, once you have a relationship with him, you will have no reason to be an addict. and a lot of churches have programs that you can go to that can help you with your addiction.

Today is the day of salvation. What we know about God and his will for us is found in the Bible. Where else could we find that information? I think the Bible is clear that God can forgive, in one split second, all of our sins. The Son shall set you free, yes, Jesus suffered and died for us. What are we willing to suffer for him? It is not easy when the brain itself is damaged. But there is a way out, it depends upon how much we are willing to suffer for him, as he suffered so much for us? We have to turn to our only source of strength.

Not only can you be forgiven, but you can be set free. I was completely delivered from a 13 year struggle with alcoholism in one day--no withdrawals, no cravings, no nothing. And ever since, every time I even think about alcohol, I start to gag. He is our deliverer, our healer, our comforter, our EVERYTHING. Believe, and you will be set free. Go to Him with your problems--He knows your heart. Be blessed!

If a person is addicted to drugs then how can they really understand God ? we all have a chance of being forgiven .. it,s our choice to continue the drug use and perhaps suffer some hellish place after leaving our body . or try to seek Gods help and be satisfied in knowing that He will indeed forgive us and save us from suffering such a fate.

Let me tell you what God can do for drug addicts, my husband abused cocaine and marijuana, and alcohol for the first 15 years we were married. I prayed for him every day,and even left him a couple of times. the Holy Spirit convicted his heart one day and he saw what he was doing to himself and me, and most important,he saw that he had sinned against God. he ask the Lord to forgive him and save him, that very day he never touched another drug, nor did he take another drink. was it easy to just quit like that? NO! he had to suffer with some withdrawals at first, but with the Lord helping him this time,he was able to overcome the withdrawals. Jesus changes people, he makes the things you THOUGHT you wanted not so appealing anymore. your whole outlook changes. some people might fall back into temptation, but with the Lord on your side, you can overcome those temptations. and every time you resist them, you get that much stronger. everyone stands a chance with Jesus, EVERYONE my husband and I will be celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary in Nov.

By continuing to fall further down that hole, I think they have volunteered to enter hell. If they seek redemption and healing, I think heaven is open to them. But, by that I mean, a hell or heaven we can experience in life. If you are worrying about a drug addict dying from their addiction (like an overdose), worrying that this person is doomed to an eternity in Hell? I'm a firm believer that "what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil " probably doesn't follow the fantasies we conceive of now. I believe there is so much more to whatever comes than an eternal vacation if I'm good and an eternity in a firery prison if I'm not. I'm not even sure how much of "me " (ego, personality, etc.) will be a part of that existence and how much is lost along with the physical form. That's what makes it the "undiscovered country ". My advice.... Seek escape from the hell being experienced in this life before you worry about what may come beyond the Veil. Be well.

We are ALL sinners. Believe in Jesus for free salvation, and you are going to heaven and not hell, no matter what! :D That includes those with a drug addiction of course. Jesus ALREADY paid for ALL our sins with His death on the cross, and then Jesus rose from the dead! Because we are sinners, Jesus did this to save us. It is the only thing that saves us, and we must believe in Jesus for free salvation, to be saved. Jesus is God, and Jesus loves you so very much! :D And the Trinity is true! The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to hell, is by believing in Jesus for salvation, believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died on the cross for all our sins as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in Jesus alone for salvation, and you will be in heaven, no matter what! Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus alone to save you! It is impossible to lose or "leave " salvation (John 6:39-40, John 10:28, 1 John 5:13). Please pray now: "Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross to pay for my sins and that You rose from the dead, and I thank You for eternal life! " You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die! :D
