Drug Addicts: Drug Addiction Facts

Question: My mom honestly keeps using "gays, rapists, and drug addicts" synonymously. i'm straight, but it annoys me?

You can't really change parents, especially if they grew up in 3rd world environments. I do understand though. You can always try and explain to her the real facts but it'll be hard if you're not prepared. If you're really determined to have her stop, you can look up info on the web. :) Let's just hope the coming generations will be less hateful and ignorant.

She is trying to impress on you that there are some things and some people to stay away from. give her a hug, tell her you love her and that you will make her proud. she's a mother and mothers like to protect their own
