Question: Do drug addicts die in sin even if they love and honor god?

I have a friend who believed in god and died of an overdose. Did he die in sin?

Truth...you can believe in God....the question is did he know God? But I believe that you can't do drugs and at the same time honor God. Truth is... I would like to think that everyone goes to heaven but reality is that Everyone will not be there.

All sins are forgiven when you put your faith into Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:7 "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. " You cannot lose salvation once you are saved. = ) Ephesians 4:30 "And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. " Jesus is God and the only way into heaven. Please pray a sincere prayer with all of your heart admitting to Jesus you are a sinner. Have full faith that His blood pays off all of your sins and accept His gift of everlasting life. I pray that God blesses you with peace. Amen.

It is very difficult to honor G-d when enslaved to addiction. drugs are especially problematic addictions because they alter perceptions, resulting in even more sin and regret that alienates from G-d. however everyone has sin and thus your friend is like other people who died believing in G-d, remember--He is the Just Judge
